Otters Don't Let Go, Not Even in Their Sleep
This whole thing... the writing, the podcasts, building the site from scratch... is something I do because I genuinely love doing it, not because anyone's paying me to. But love doesn't cover costs.

Did you know cows have best friends? ... I didn't.
Turns out they are not just part of "the herd," they actually pick a favorite.
WHO KNEW.
They graze together, groom each other, and stick close, and when they're separated,
their stress levels genuinely spike. Researchers have actually measured it.
Someone, somewhere, sat down and measured a cow's stress levels. Extraordinary.
So that calm, content-looking cow in the field? There's a decent chance her best friend is grazing nearby.
Who knew the pasture had its own little social scene ... turns out "stupid cow" was never
the insult people thought it was.
Besties, Not Just a Human Thing
Did you know sea otters hold hands while they sleep?
How amazing is that, and do you know why they do that?
So they don't drift apart while they're floating.
They'll even wrap themselves in kelp for extra grip,
and mothers do the same with their pups to keep everyone close overnight.
Even asleep, otters make sure nobody in the group gets left behind.
Not a bad thing to learn from.
